Western Cape Infrastructure Department to take over roads delivery functions [SOUND]

# Western Cape MEC for Infrastructure, Tertuis Simmers, says his department will take over the responsibility of district municipalities’ roads delivery functions from April 1st 2026. This follows a comprehensive assessment of the current model, including value for money and financial accountability, with the view to improving service delivery.
