# ActionSA has welcomed the improved credit outlook for Tshwane, which Global Credit Ratings, a Moody’s affiliate, has changed to positive. The agency praised the city’s better finances, including higher cash reserves, reduced Eskom debt, and a bigger operating surplus. ActionSA’s Michael Beaumont says mayor Nasiphi Moya and the coalition have helped the city recover by presenting a fully funded budget for the first time since 2021, after previous administrations nearly left it bankrupt.
