# Balwin Properties has secured a one-billion-rand loan from the International Finance Corporation to build over 14-thousand-500 affordable green homes at Mooikloof Smart City in Tshwane. The project, part of a Presidential Strategic Integrated initiative, will boost job creation and housing access. The apartments will meet green building standards, cutting energy and water use. Balwin CEO Steve Brookes says the partnership supports affordable, sustainable housing and contributes to South Africa’s growth. The government will fund bulk infrastructure for the development.
