# The Department of Justice and Constitutional Development has dismissed 54 officials as part of a major disciplinary crackdown. This follows the finalisation of 164 out of 223 internal labour relations cases, involving offences such as corruption, fraud, theft, dishonesty, and unauthorised absence. Fifteen of the dismissals occurred between January and April this year. The department’s Terrence Manase says the 15 cases have also been referred for criminal prosecution:
