# Residents of Lesedi Local Municipality in Gauteng are currently facing interrupted water supply as Rand Water has reduced the municipality’s water supply pressure by 20-percent. This is due to the municipality owing the water utility close to 121-million-rand. Since last weekend water flow has been getting weaker. The Freedom Front Plus in Gauteng says despite the Lesedi Municipality paying its full outstanding current account for the past five months to Rand Water, it has failed to pay off its historical debt.
