# The University of Fort Hare’s GBV Prevention and Gender Diversity Office has launched the Know Your Limits campaign. It aims to raise awareness about the link between alcohol abuse and incidents of gender-based violence. Last year, the Office conducted a baseline assessment with UFH students to understand the link between alcohol and GBV. Of the one-thousand students surveyed, 72-percent said they believed alcohol abuse contributes to GBV, and 25-percent reported seeing or experiencing GBV where alcohol was a factor.
