# The Electricity and Energy Ministry, alongside the South African Nuclear Energy Corporation, are commemorating the 60th anniversary of the South African Fundamental Atomic Research Installation-1 reactor in Pelindaba today. This 20-megawatt research reactor has been vital in producing life-saving isotopes for cancer diagnosis and treatment.
