# ActionSA has dismissed the KwaZulu-Natal legislature’s portfolio committee on Health’s threats to investigate the party’s provincial chairperson, Zwakele Mncwango. The party regards this as not only laughable but also an insult to residents who continue to suffer due to chronic medicine shortages. ActionSA’s Michael Beaumont says last month, Mncwango and the party’s member of Parliament, Kgosi Letlape, travelled to Benedictine Hospital as part of a series of oversight visits to investigate ongoing reports of medicine shortages, but they were denied access to the hospital:
