# AfriForum says the government is failing to tackle the root causes of water pollution, blaming broken wastewater infrastructure and weak enforcement of environmental laws. It argues that large-scale clean-up operations won’t solve the crisis while sewage treatment plants continue dumping millions of litres of untreated waste into rivers.
