# The City of Tshwane says the demand for electricity in Jukulyn, Soshanguve, is currently exceeding the capacity provided. The area receives electricity supply through three satellite substations. The metro says one of the issues in electricity network overload affecting Jukulyn is the mushrooming of informal settlements, where consumers connect illegally to the electricity networks. It adds that to avoid a total collapse of the network, load reduction has been introduced.
