# The City of Cape Town is carrying out urgent road repairs along the southbound lanes of Jakes Gerwel Drive, between Bofors Circle and the N2 highway, near Bonteheuwel. The repairs follow illegal tunnelling and digging by people suspected of living beneath the Bonteheuwel Bridge, just before the railway line. Mayoral committee member for Mobility, Rob Quintas, has urged motorists to reduce their speed and prepare for delays while repair work continues in the area:
