# The Western Cape Department of Infrastructure says work is progressing on the 797-million-rand N7 upgrade north of Cape Town, with completion expected in March next year. The project includes five kilometres of new road and six bridges to improve road safety and traffic flow, while bringing the route up to freeway standards. So far, 394 job opportunities have been created, exceeding the initial target, with more than 131-million-rand spent on targeted enterprises.
