# City Power in Johannesburg has disconnected illegal electricity connections in Kanana informal settlement and Klipfontein in Midrand. The operation followed repeated power interruptions affecting customers in Rabie Ridge Extensions 1, 2, 3 and 5. In Kanana, teams found a transformer inside a shack, connected to a network of illegal cables. City Power removed the cables and disconnected the illegal electricity supply.
