The Western Cape government recently handed over 300 bicycles to more than 40 schools across seven municipalities. The schools are located in Saldanha Bay, Berg River, Drakenstein, Witzenberg, Breede Valley, Stellenbosch and the City of Cape Town. Premier Alan Winde says this annual initiative aims to promote a culture of cycling, raise awareness of road safety and encourage responsible road use among all road users:
