# The DA has called for stronger action to tackle gender-based violence and femicide, amid growing concern over the murder of women. The party warns women remain at risk despite repeated government commitments, while social workers assisting victims also face growing safety risks. During a debate in the National Council of Provinces, the DA’s Wendy Kaizer-Philander called for stronger policing, better investigations and greater accountability to protect women and girls and ensure justice for victims and their families.
