# Most eligible South African voters will be opting out of next month’s local government elections, driven by youth disillusionment, distrust and broken political promises. # The International Criminal Court has made public four arrest warrants against senior Taliban figures, accusing them of persecuting women and girls in Afghanistan, which amounts to a crime against humanity. The four include Taliban Supreme Leader Haibatullah Akhundzada and Chief Justice Abdul Hakim Haqqani. The court says there are reasonable grounds to believe all four are criminally responsible for ordering, inducing or soliciting persecution against girls, women, and other people who did not conform to the de facto Taliban government’s policy on gender, gender identity, or expression.
# Rugby: Stormers defence coach Norman Laker is confident the returning Springboks will slot seamlessly back into the team’s system.
