# The DA in the Northern Cape government must address environmental and infrastructure risks that leave women vulnerable. The party cites recent cases, including the discovery of a woman’s body in a shallow grave inside a shack in Lerato Park, Kimberley, and the gang rape of a 62-year-old pensioner in Pampierstad. The DA’s Lisa Schickerling says between April and June this year, 284 rapes were reported in the province.
