# Western Cape police have arrested four men in Gugulethu for alleged extortion and illegal possession of firearms and ammunition. The arrests followed information obtained while detectives were interviewing an attempted murder suspect about the syndicate and hidden firearms. Police recovered two nine-millimetre pistols, including one without a serial number, and seven rounds of ammunition. The suspects are expected to appear in the Athlone Magistrate’s Court once they have been charged.
