# The George Municipality Council has approved and adopted its Consolidated Capital Expenditure Framework for 2026/2027, which will guide how it plans and prioritises its infrastructure projects. Projects are considered according to factors such as service backlogs, growth, infrastructure needs, affordability, technical readiness and the potential social and economic benefit. The municipality’s spokesperson, Debra Sauer, says infrastructure projects must be delivered within their available budgets, while creating employment opportunities:
