# The Department of Basic Education has moved the 2026 Foundation Phase National Catalogue for Grades One to Three from approval to implementation. Procurement is underway, with November and December set as key delivery periods ahead of the 2027 school year. The Department spokesperson Terence Khala says the new catalogue updates learning materials to keep pace with curriculum, teaching methods and children’s learning needs:
