# The South African Communist Party is calling for the immediate reinstatement of National Police Commissioner Fannie Masemola after the withdrawal of four Public Finance Management Act charges against him. The National Prosecuting Authority says, following a review, there are no reasonable prospects of a successful prosecution. The SACP welcomes the decision and says Masemola should now be allowed to resume his duties. The party says Masemola’s suspension remains a separate matter requiring a decision by President Cyril Ramaphosa.
