# The Public Servants Association is calling for stronger security at schools in KwaZulu-Natal following the murder of a learner at Ndengezi Intermediate School in KwaNdengezi, near Pinetown. The learner was reportedly shot inside the school grounds on Monday. The PSA’s Zamani Dladla says many schools face security challenges, including poor fencing, limited security personnel and uncontrolled access. Dladla added the provincial Education Department should urgently assess security at schools and improve surveillance.
