NPA says it still has a strong case against the Emfuleni electricity fraud accused

# The National Prosecuting Authority maintains it still has a strong case against seven accused in a multimillion-rand electricity fraud scheme involving the Emfuleni Local Municipality in Gauteng. Despite the state opposing bail, they were granted 20-thousand-rand bail each by the Vanderbijlpark Magistrate’s Court. The NPA says the accused face charges including fraud, theft of electricity valued at approximately 9.9-million-rand, a further fraud and theft charge involving 150-thousand-rand, money laundering, and tampering with essential infrastructure.
