# The City of Tshwane has welcomed the Supreme Court of Appeal’s dismissal of a reconsideration application brought by Lawyers for Human Rights on behalf of some occupants of the Melgisedek building. Mayoral committee member for Corporate and Shared Services, Flora Monama, says the latest court victory will allow the metro to advance its efforts to address unsafe buildings through its Bad Buildings Programme. She says the Melgisedek property has for too long posed serious safety concerns for residents and the surrounding community:
