# The Gauteng Department of Health says it has made progress in keeping people on HIV and tuberculosis treatment during the 2025/2026 financial year. More than one-million HIV patients remained on treatment, while over 27-thousand TB patients received treatment. The department’s spokesperson, Steve Mabona, says improved tracing of patients who miss appointments and treatment reminders helped boost these numbers.
