# A fire in Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay, Cape Town, has destroyed approximately 50 structures, displacing dozens of families this morning. Forty firefighters battled the blaze, which was successfully contained at around 7am. Fire and Rescue Services spokesperson Jermaine Carelse says disaster management teams had been activated to assess the damage. He adds the cause of the fire is unknown at this stage:
