# ANC veteran Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma has filed a formal notice to oppose secretary-general Fikile Mbalula’s defamation lawsuit against her. Dlamini-Zuma allegedly claimed that money influenced ANC internal elections and accused Mbalula of distributing money at the party’s 2022 Nasrec conference. In her opposing affidavit, Dlamini-Zuma says the litigation against her amounts to an abuse of the court process. Mbalula denies the allegations and is seeking a public retraction and apology through the Johannesburg High Court.
Dlamini-Zuma opposes Mbalula defamation lawsuit
