# The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department has launched a full-scale manhunt following an incident in Lenasia where an on-duty officer was disarmed of his service weapon. Police spokesperson, Xolani Fihla says earlier today, while performing official duties in the Lenasia area, the officer was accosted by several suspects.
