Six arrested as law enforcement agencies recover electricity transformers worth R1.5 million in Tembisa [SOUND]

# Six suspects have been arrested following the recovery of seven electricity transformers valued at approximately 1.5-million-rand in Tembisa, Ekurhuleni. This was part of an operation by Gauteng Traffic Police, Gauteng Traffic Wardens Infrastructure Unit and TDP Security Services. The suspects face charges of theft and unlawful possession of critical electricity infrastructure. Gauteng Department of Community Safety spokesperson, Ofentse Morwane, says law enforcement agencies will continue to disrupt criminal activities targeting essential infrastructure:
