# The Gauteng Health Department says Steve Biko Academic Hospital is undergoing planned electrical infrastructure repairs today until 1pm, affecting obstetrics, neonatal and paediatric services, as well as six theatres and critical care units. The hospital has relocated high-risk patients and rescheduled 33 elective surgeries. Emergency procedures will continue in unaffected theatres. Spokesperson Steve Mabona says contingency measures are in place to protect patients and minimise disruption to essential healthcare services:
