Soil of Africa calls for a comprehensive reform of NSFAS [SOUND]

# Civic organisation Soil of Africa is calling for a comprehensive reform of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme. An investigation by the Public Protector has found more than 40-thousand students were improperly funded at a cost of approximately 5.1-billion-rand. The students were spread across 76 higher education institutions. The organisation’s spokesperson, Luzuko Sofute, says the country’s student-funding crisis is no longer simply a funding challenge, but a governance crisis:
