Cape Town accounts for nearly 50% of all new jobs added across the eight metros [SOUND]

# The City of Cape Town has added 418-thousand jobs over the current local government term, more than the next four largest metros combined: Johannesburg, eThekwini, Tshwane and Ekurhuleni. This is according to Statistics South Africa’s Quarterly Labour Force Survey data from quarter one 2022 to the latest quarter two 2026.
