# The Forum for South Africa is calling for the immediate stabilisation of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme operations and greater transparency in its governance. The 54.3-billion-rand scheme is under increased scrutiny, as it still needs to address funding issues in ten-thousand cases, with over four-thousand students awaiting resolution. Forum leader Tebogo Mashilompane says ongoing legal disputes, administrative instability, and governance challenges must never be allowed to disrupt student funding, registration, accommodation, or academic support:
