# The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport handed over 211 valid operating licences to compliant operators as part of its Special Operating Licence Handover ceremonies. The department’s spokesperson, Lesiba Mpya says the ceremonies served to enable compliant public transport operators to collect their approved operating licences before the collection deadline. He says all 108 uncollected licences, will be due for cancellation subject to applicable administrative processes in line with the relevant legislative framework:
