# The City of Tshwane says it has reached an important milestone in its Electricity Stabilisation Plan, with the installation of a new transformer at the Mamelodi 2 Substation now completed. The plan is focused on addressing capacity constraints, strengthening critical electricity infrastructure and improving the resilience of the metro’s electricity network. Mayoral committee member for Utility Services, Frans Boshielo, says this upgrade will provide additional capacity at the Mamelodi 2 Substation:
