# The City of Cape Town’s Public Emergency Communication Centre recorded three-thousand-384 calls for assistance over the long weekend, including nearly 150 motor vehicle accidents. The centre also logged 174 cases of physical assault, 93 domestic violence incidents and 148 road accidents, 33 involving pedestrians. Mayoral committee member for Safety and Security, JP Smith, says on the enforcement front, 373 suspects were arrested during patrols:
