# Around 60-thousand people have been ordered to evacuate as wildfires threaten the city of Spokane in Washington state, in the United States. Local officials said the fires in the region had destroyed 600 buildings, including homes and businesses. The fires had burned close to two-thousand-200-hectares by yesterday. Spokane Mayor Lisa Brown called it the worst natural disaster the region had faced. Officials said fortunately no injuries or deaths had been reported.
