# ActionSA has announced plans to introduce a private member’s lobbying transparency bill to regulate professional lobbying and improve transparency in government decision-making. Party spokesperson Lerato Ngobeni says the proposed legislation will establish a public register of lobbyists, require disclosure of engagements with public officials, impose cooling-off periods for former ministers and senior officials, and provide independent oversight. She says the bill aims to strengthen accountability and restore public confidence:
