Gauteng traditional leaders call for action against crime

# Traditional leaders in Gauteng are calling for urgent action to curb violence and substance abuse affecting communities. Speaking during a cleansing ceremony at Buyafuthi Hostel in Ekurhuleni, Gauteng Induna Mdeni Mdletshe raised concerns over taxi assassinations, tavern killings, illegal mining and drug abuse among young people. He said traditional leaders are working to unite communities, restore ubuntu and reclaim hostels as safe places by strengthening partnerships between government, residents and community leaders.
