# Water and Sanitation deputy minister, David Mahlobo, says great progress has been made on the project to raise the Clanwilliam Dam wall in the Western Cape. Upon completion, the dam wall will be raised by 13 metres, increasing the dam’s storage capacity by an additional 82 million cubic metres of water. Mahlobo says the strategic infrastructure development project is aimed at enhancing water security and ensuring compliance regarding dam safety:
