# The Freedom Front Plus in Gauteng says the decision by the National Treasury to withhold a portion of the July equitable share from the Emfuleni Municipality puts the municipality under strict financial oversight. Treasury has, amongst other things, instructed Emfuleni to reduce its total irregular, unauthorised, fruitless and wasteful expenditure by at least 25-percent by 30 September this year.
