# The Western Cape police are investigating two mass shootings that left seven dead and five injured in Tafelsig, Mitchells Plain, and Philippi East last night. Police spokesperson, Andrè Traut, says in the first incident in Tafelsig, five men were shot outside a local tuck shop, with three victims, aged 18, 19 and 51, declared dead on the scene. Traut says in Philippi East, seven people were shot, resulting in four victims, aged between 17 and 20 years, succumbing to their injuries:
