Health regulators warn against use of recalled weight-loss medicines [SOUND]

# South Africa’s health regulators are warning the public and healthcare professionals not to use, prescribe or dispense recalled iDEXIS Semaglutide and Tirzepatide medicines. The regulators have warned that pharmacists and medical practitioners who continue to stock, prescribe or dispense the recalled medicines could face disciplinary action. The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority’s Rodgers Baloyi says the products were recalled in June because they pose a serious risk to patient safety:
