# Two people have been remanded in custody after appearing in the Palm Ridge Magistrate’s Court in Gauteng on charges of conspiracy to murder a senior provincial Human Settlements director. The Hawks allege the official was targeted for trying to stop the illegal sale of RDP houses to people who did not qualify. One of the accused is a departmental administrative clerk. Several firearms and electronic devices were seized. The case has been postponed to 13 July for a formal bail application.
