Tshwane says it has been at the forefront of dealing with the immigration crisis

# The City of Tshwane says it has been at the forefront of responding to citizens’ growing concerns about illegal immigration. In the past 18 months, the metro has led dozens of by-law enforcement operations that have successfully apprehended undocumented immigrants. The Tshwane Metro Police Department oversaw peaceful anti-illegal immigration demonstrations on Tuesday. Mayor Nasiphi Moya says they are cognisant of the economic and service delivery pressures felt by residents who are forced to share resources in a rapidly growing population.
