Tshwane challenges creative and innovative tertiary students to develop a new destination tourism brand

# The City of Tshwane and its tourism partners have launched an innovation challenge for tertiary education institutions in the metro. The initiative challenges students to develop a new destination tourism brand for South Africa’s capital city. Mayoral committee member for Economic Development and Spatial Planning, Sarah Mabotsa, says as part of their efforts to grow the tourism sector, a destination brand identity that more clearly demonstrates Tshwane’s diverse offerings to local and international visitors is needed. Shortlisted submissions will be announced ahead of the selection of the winning proposal in November.
