# The Inter-Ministerial Committee on Migration says it has made progress in implementing its coordinated migration strategy, with ongoing deportation and repatriation operations nationwide. Enforcement is being carried out through a structured, law-based approach involving multiple government departments, focusing on the removal of undocumented foreign nationals and improved management of migration processes. The committee’s chairperson, Mmamoloko Kubayi, told the media there has been a rise in arrests linked to immigration offences:

# Western Cape Police Commissioner Thembisile Patekile has warned that no form of incitement to violence or inflammatory content will be tolerated ahead of the Tuesday’s planned protest against illegal immigrants. Patekile says police will deploy sufficient officers across the province, including rural areas, and have a zero-tolerance approach to violence. As he approaches retirement on Tuesday, Patekile warned that no weapons or face coverings will be allowed:

# The Gauteng Department of Education says schools have been instructed to clear backlogs and ensure all learners receive their academic reports as soon as possible. This follows the restoration of the South African School Administration and Management System caused by a technical disruption in the supporting Citrix environment.
