The City of Tshwane has condemned the vandalism of critical infrastructure, saying these criminal acts disrupt essential services and negatively affect residents and businesses. The recent water supply interruption affecting areas supplied by the Eersterust Reservoir was caused by an act of vandalism at the reservoir site. The metro’s spokesperson, Lindela Mashigo, says water infrastructure belongs to everyone, and its protection is a shared responsibility:
