# The EFF has welcomed the publication of a notice to introduce the Electoral Matters Amendment Bill by its leader Julius Malema. Spokesperson Sinawo Thambo says the Bill seeks to amend South Africa’s electoral framework to allow for automatic voter registration. He says the Bill also seeks to remove structural barriers to electoral participation and strengthen the democracy by ensuring that all eligible citizens are included in the voters’ roll without unnecessary administrative burdens. The EFF intends to write to the National Assembly speaker, Thoko Didiza to ensure that the Bill is introduced and processed with immediate effect.
