# President Cyril Ramaphosa has dismissed the widely circulated June 30th deadline set by anti-immigrant groups for undocumented foreign nationals to leave South Africa as unnecessary. He says government is already implementing several measures to tackle illegal immigration. Over 40-thousand illegal foreign nationals have been arrested since the beginning of this year, with over seven-thousand-400 arrests made in the past month alone. Ramaphosa says law enforcement agencies are ready for June 30th:
# Former president Jacob Zuma says the state can only seek repayment of his legal fees when he is found guilty, and shown to have acted in his own interests in respect of the corruption he is accused of. The MK Party leader has launched an appeal to the Constitutional Court to overturn the High Court in Pretoria’s ruling, ordering him to repay the state 28.9-million-rand spent on his corruption trial. According to News24, Zuma argues in his application ordering him to repay the state will result in severe injustice.
# Counterfeit luxury goods worth more than 100-million-rand were seized during a major operation in Bellville, Cape Town. More than 40 shops were targeted at the Bellville Shopping Complex. The operation follows a large-scale enforcement raid conducted at the same complex a week ago. Police spokesperson, Amanda van Wyk, says counterfeit branded clothing, shoes, bags, watches, sunglasses, caps and branded packaging were confiscated:

# US president Donald Trump has slammed Israeli prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying he has to be more responsible in Lebanon. About 27 people died in the last 24 hours as a result of Israeli airstrikes, bringing the total number of deaths to three-thousand-783. The US and Iran have agreed to a deal, which includes the immediate end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon. Trump says Israel has been fighting Hezbollah for too long, and too many people are being killed:
# Rugby: SA ‘A’ coach Mzwandile Stick has named a balanced blend of experience and youth, including five Springboks, for their clash against Zimbabwe in Gqeberha on Saturday. Sharks forward Vincent Tshituka will captain the side. He will be joined by double World Cup winner, Lukhanyo Am, Phepsi Buthelezi, Neethling Fouché, and Boan Venter as the capped internationals in the run-on side. Stick has also selected an exciting group of youngsters for the match-day squad, including Luan Giliomee, Markus Muller, Jaco Williams, and Zekhethelo Siyaya.
